Glad you asked Media Man and Gambling911 with the would be 'Mafia wars' being played out in the press...

Donald Trump VS Robert De Niro Showdown; War Of The Don's...

Donald Trump, the billionaire property tycoon who is considering running for US president, has picked a wrestling match with living legend actor Robert De Niro after the Oscar-winning actor compared him to a "car salesman". Gambling followers will be familiar with De Niro's portrayal of Vegas casino boss and sometime mobster Sam 'Ace' Rothstein (Frank "Lefty" Rosenthal). Mr Trump punched back in and aggressive manner that you see on the U.S version of The Apprentice, suggesting that De Niro was "not the brightest bulb on the planet" and "not Albert Einstein". The public feud began after Trump who has teased a campaign for the Republican nomination to challenge Barack Obama next year, questioned where the president was born. Obama was born in the state of Hawaii in 1961, but conspiracy theorists allege that his birthplace was actually in Kenya, which would make him ineligible to serve as president. De Niro, 67, the iconic star of films such as Raging Bull and Goodfellas, and a Democrat supporter, was probed about the issue during an interview at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York at the weekend. "I won't mention names, but certain people in the news the last couple of weeks, just what are they doing?" he replied. "It's crazy. They're making statements about people that they don't even back up. Go get the facts before you start saying things about people." De Niro, who confirmed he was talking about Trump, added: "It's like a big hustle. It's like being a car salesman. Don't go out there and say things unless you can back them up. How dare you? That's awful to do. "To just go out and speak and say these terrible things? Unless you just want to get over and get the job. It's crazy." Mr Trump hit back at his fellow New Yorker, saying: "I've been watching him over the years and I like his acting, but in terms of when I watch him doing interviews and various other things, we're not dealing with Albert Einstein. "He can say what he wants, but the fact is this guy (Obama) has not revealed his birth certificate. A lot of people agree with me." Trump suggested in another media interview on Monday that Prez Obama had been a poor student who did not deserve to be admitted into an Ivy League university. Obama graduated from Columbia University in New York in 1983 after transferring from Occidental College in California. He went on to graduate from Harvard Law School. "I heard he was a terrible student, terrible. How does a bad student go to Columbia and then to Harvard?" Trump said. "I'm thinking about it, I'm certainly looking into it. Let him show his records." Trump has still not announced whether he will seek the Republican nomination to run in 2012, but polls put him at the head of the field. During the 2008 presidential campaign, De Niro spoke at a rally get together for Obama in New Jersey, telling the crowd: "I've never made a speech like this at a political event. So what am I doing here? Finally, one person has inspired me. Guess who." Trump's public slanging match with De Niro has not been his only recent dispute with a Hollywood icon. Last week Seinfeld, the actor and comedian, pulled out of a charity event being held by Trump's son Eric, saying he was "increasingly uncomfortable" with the billionaire's questioning of Obama's citizenship. Trump responded by attacking Seinfeld for "breaking his commitment". He also had an on-air tiff with Whoopi Goldberg, the actress, over the birther movement last month, and this week Michael Bloomberg, the New York mayor and a friend of Trump's, called on him to "focus on the main issues".

Lindsay Lohan May Snatch Gotti Movie Role...

Lohan is back in the running for a proposed film about the Gotti crime family after she personally asked its hesitant producer to give her a go. The troubled actress, whose promising career has been hit hard by drug and criminal problems, had been in negotiations for a role in "Gotti: Three Generations," starring John Travolta as mob boss John Gotti, Sr. She even showed up at a news conference announcing the project last week. But producer Marc Fiore said earlier Wednesday that he had broken off talks because of demands made by Lohan's management team, and planned to meet with other actresses. Hours later, he appeared to have been swayed by the "Mean Girls" actress herself. "We had a little rocky road today, but Lindsay definitely revived the situation," Fiore told Reuters, adding that Lohan called him personally to plead her case. Lohan would play Kim Gotti, the wife of Gotti's namesake son, Fiore said. Previous news reports said she was in line to play his daughter, Victoria. Fiore said the Kim role was bigger since the movie is about the father-son relationship. Fiore has the cooperation of retired mobster John Gotti, Jr., whose character has yet to be cast. His father, the so-called "Teflon Don," died of cancer in 2002 while serving a life term for murder, racketeering, extortion and tax evasion. Fiore said he hoped to announce a new director next week. Nick Cassavetes, who was originally attached, exited the project earlier this week because of a scheduling conflict. Shooting is expected to start in October. Fiore said the budget for the self-financed film was $70 million to $80 million. He declined to specify the source of the funds. Gambling fans will love this one. No, we're not going to give you the spoilers, not yet anyway.
