Australian Political Betting: Election Called, by Greg Tingle - 17th July 2010
Readers er punters, the Australian federal election has been called by Prime Minister Julie Gillard, affectionately labeled 'Jungle Girl' by Media Man. To square things up the challenger for the title belt er Prime Ministership is Tony "The Bruiser" Abbott. Political betting tips, odds, background and more. Media Man and Gambling911 take you ringside for round one as the campaigning officially begins...
Punters, donkey's, politicians, my fellow citizens, the Australian political election is on.
Media Man and Gambling911 have learned that the Gillard VS Abbott showdown is 21st August. Mark it down and get ready to put money down if you're that way inclined.
Our friends at Centrebet are widely regarded as the the leading Australian bookie for political bets, and later in our bulletin we have a betting guide for your enjoyment an perhaps use. Got to love the Centrebet crew.
Centrebet head analyst Neil Evans had last week advised August 28 was the election date. Wrong Neil... you weren't trying to lead us astray were you mate?
Gillard is the shortest-price Prime Minister since Harold Holt led the Liberal Party to Australia's biggest federal victory way back in 1966.
Evans tipped us off that a prominent Australian lawyer had waged $60,000 for Labor to win at $1.22.
Centrebet has the ALP at $A1.22 favourite to win, the Age reports, compared to $A4.10 on offer for Tony Abbott's opposition.
A new Centrebet client yesterday put $20,000 on the Coalition at $4.10, although so much money has flowed for Labor since Ms Gillard's ascension that it did not bring in the ALP's starting price.
The single largest punt of $100,000 was made on Ms Gillard by a Perth punter last week.
Punters reckon the Greens' Adam Bandt is a good chance to take the Labor-held seat of Melbourne, where Finance Minister Lindsay Tanner is retiring.
Press Conference News...
Prime Minister Gillard arrived at Government House at 10.40am today to get the go ahead from the Governor-General, Quentin Bryce, to dissolve the Parliament.
She then held a press conference and said "I seek a mandate from the Australian people to move Australia forward. This election presents Australians with a very clear choice...whether we move Australia forward or go back. Moving forward with confidence also requires a strong set of convictions and a clear set of values. And over the last few weeks I have had the opportunity to share those values with the nation. I believe in hard work. I believe in the benefits and dignity of work. I believe in what comes as an individual when you do your best and you earn your keep. So in this, the forthcoming election campaign, I'll be asking the Australian people for their trust. "I'll be asking Australians for their trust so that we can move forward together".
The challenger, Tony "The Bruiser" Abbott had this to say...
"If there was one policy on which the coalition lost the last election, it was workplace relations. On workplace relations policy, the coalition trashed its own brand and has to re-establish trust. Trust will only be restored by demonstrating, over time, that the coalition again has the steady hands in which people's job security and pay and conditions can once more safely rest. Work Choices is dead. I've said that before. Today I've not just buried the body but cremated it too."
The Bruiser Jogs Into The Hilton Hotel Ballroom To Standing Ovation...
The challenger jogged into the Hilton Hotel ballroom to an impressive standing ovation and delivered a speech which was a mighty pre-election attack on the government.
"We are ready to govern" said the prizefighter.
Abbot noted that past 3 weeks were "chaotic" for the federal Labor government, since factional warlords "executed" Mr Rudd.
"There's been the mining tax fix based on a succession of lies, there's been the boatpeople fix that got lost somewhere in the Timor Sea and there's been the economic credibility fix that was hijacked by Kevin Rudd courtesy of questions from Laurie Oakes at the press club" he proclaimed.
The coalition requires a swing of 2.4% in order to get back into government, and note its just one term after Mr Rudd led Labor to an emphatic victory over John Howard's 11 years plus government.
The coalition will have to take 12 seats off the government and hold 5 seats, now notionally Labor, to govern in its own right.
Introducing Mr Abbott, Nationals leader Warren Truss told the audience that Ms Gillard could not be trusted.
"Kevin Rudd could not trust her word - why should we?".
Australian Federal Election Betting: A Guide...
The Australian Federal Parliament is bicameral, as it has two chambers: the House of Representatives (Lower House) and the Senate (Upper House). Members of each house are determined by a compulsory secret ballot of all Australians from across six states and two territories. These votes are then tallied using a preferential system (see below).
A system of Cabinet or "responsible" government based on the British Westminster tradition is practised. The party or coalition of parties commanding a majority in the House of Representatives becomes the government and provides the ministers (including the Prime Minister), all of whom must be members of the Parliament. Elections for the House of Representatives are held at least every three years.
The Constitution requires membership of the Australian House of Representatives to be, as nearly as practicable, twice that of the Senate. The House has 150 members: 50 from New South Wales; 37 from Victoria; 27 from Queensland; 12 from South Australia; 15 from Western Australia; five from Tasmania; two from the Australian Capital Territory; and two from the Northern Territory.
A Government need not command a majority in the Senate which has an equal number of members (12) from each State. The Australian Capital Territory and the Northern Territory were not represented in the Federal Parliament until 1975 when they each gained two Senators.
Normally, Senators serve a six-year term with half the Senate retiring every three years. Senators elected to represent the Territories, however, serve a maximum of three years and their terms coincide with those of the members of the House of Representatives. In Senate elections, the people of each State and Territory vote as single electorates.
Australian Federal Election Betting - Preferential Voting
The essence of preferential voting is that voters number candidates on the ballot paper in a rank order of choice. You put the number 1 next to your first choice candidate, 2 next to your second choice, and so on. If your first choice candidate is not elected and no candidate receives half of the vote, your vote may be re-examined for its next preference. The point of the system is to elect the most preferred candidate, to choose the candidate that can build an absolute majority of support in the electorate rather than the simple majority required for first past the post voting.
Australian Federal Election Betting - Bet Types
Centrebet offer Australian Federal Election odds as to the winner of the overall election (Coalition or Labor) as well as betting odds for individual seats of parliament.
Centrebet does not accept bets on when an election will be held, as obviously there would be a group of people within the Gillard Government who would have already decided.
Centrebet does accept bets on the election outcome; eg - Abbott (Liberal coalition) or Gillard (Labor). All up, just under $1.9 million was bet on the 2004 Australian federal election. *Public thank you to Centrebet for the detailed run down on political betting.
Stay tuned for more updates.

Australian And New Zealand Casino And Gambling News, by Greg Tingle - 16th July 2010
Australia is the source of an interesting mix of news this week. Aussie casino wars, casino tycoons big boys toys, casinos buying into other investments, Aussie poker Twit - ers, rumors and more. Media Man and Gambling911 with your Aussie wrap up...
Australians All Out Of World Series Of Poker...
Aussie cricket legend, Shane Warne aka "The Spin King", Jeff Fenech "The Marrickville Mauler" and Joe Hachem "The Poker Star" are all out of this years WSOP. Insiders advised to see at least a few of them at the Crown Casino Aussie Millions Poker Champion in Melbourne this January. Aussie Millions is Australia's richest poker tournament.
Aussie Joe Hachem Returns To The Age, WSOP Dreams Smashed...
Hachem's WSOP 2010 bid is history but we understand Fairfax Media's The Age is more than happy to have Hachem back to writing duties at the paper. Joe, idea for you... how would you feel about endorsing a casino rooms also, like Mike Sexton at World Poker Tour does... with WTP Casino? Maybe it would be 'The Age Casino'... just kidding, I think, but stranger things have happened.
Lasseters Wharf Casino Buys Restaurant - New Zealand...
Queenstown’s Lasseters casino has purchased one of the resort’s premier restaurants.
Boardwalk Seafood Restaurant heads Adele and Grant Jackson confirm they’ve sold the business to neighbour, Lasseters Wharf Casino. The deal is understood to have been competed in the past 48 hours. Jackson understands the casino plans to reopen the Steamer Wharf eatery and a walkway linking to the casino next month. Boardwalk’s chef Grant took part-ownership of the establishment with his wife a decade ago, and full ownership three years ago. Grant says the deal has been in the offing for 11 months, pending New Zealand Gambling Commission approval. Restaurant numbers have "exploded" in Queenstown during his time at Boardwalk, Grant advised. "A big night used to be 160 to 170 diners – now if we have 100 it’s a bloody good night." The Jacksons have no fixed future plans but intend "looking at every option" once they return from an overseas holiday. More casino deals perhaps? New Zealanders remain on many of the world's top 10 casino and gaming lists, with their passion for a punt up there with Aussies.
Aussie Elle MacPherson Eyes Richard Branson; Plays Backgammon...
'The Body' from down under remains a bit of fixture around the Australian and international casino and gaming landscape. With her adventure with James Packer UK lad Damian Aspinall apparently history, Elle has recently championed Bondi Beach loving Richard Branson, his book and business. Elle, was it Branson's Virgin Casino or Virgin Gaming, or both? Elle enjoys playing backgammon, so maybe an online casino endorsement could be in the works? One little problem, Australia's can't play at Virgin Casino, not yet anyway, so we will leave it to the powers that be.
James Packer and $50M Yacht Spotted On Gold Coast?...
Packer's yacht has been sighted on the Gold Coast, but where's James hiding?
The 50-metre Italian built Mangusta Leopold 165 has the region buzzing and eyeballs googling for the casino and lifestyle billionaire tycoon James Packer. No sign of wife Erica at this stage either. Marina Mirage management is not disclosing if Mr Packer was on board. The close by exclusive Palazzo Versace, a former Media Man hangout, is a logical "hiding place" for Packer, but staffers say no one by the name of "James Packer" name had checked in. Maybe "John Smith" and "Jane Doe" did? Gold Coast is the home of Tabcorp's Jupiters Hotel and Casino. We don't suspect the Packer clan will be paying them a visit, but stranger things have happened. As they say, keep you friends close and your enemies closer. Rumours still persist of Packer to by Tabcorp part of fully, but that's not forecast until circa 2012. No rush James, enjoys your digs, be it sea, land or both.
Mildura Jewel Casino And Media Wars...
The battle for your mind (as Alex Jones puts it) is still on as the Mildura pro and anti casino mobs stick to their guns. A Media Man birdie says that there's more chance of the casino going ahead than not. The anti casino troupe are moving forward on their website "dedicated" to the proposed casino. The working title to the website is 'Sunraysia Against Casinos'.
The pro casino mob have a friend or supporter of sorts in Michael Bailey, Marketing Manager for Launceston’s Country Club Tasmania. He says his city has reaped many benefits, with millions of dollars poured back into the community, since the country club’s boutique casino was established.
Bailey, a former executive with the mainland’s WIN TV network, advised there would always be a minority who would voice opposition, but usually these were people who were not aware of the long-term benefits that multi-million dollar projects brought to a community. Some may also be 'God Squad' or 'Bible Bashers' who just hate casinos with a passion... you know Hellfire and Brimstone stuff. He also tipped there would also be a few "stirrers" with no connection to the region who would jump on the anti-casino bandwagon and voice an opinion. "I’ve heard it all before," he said. "They said the same about Wrest Point… Crown Casino… here in Launceston… the fact that legal gaming venues would draw a gangster element, street crime will rise… all the usual arguments. The fact is that the Australian casino industry is so tightly regulated there is very little margin for criminals to take advantage. There are very few negatives with this sort of development.".
Victorian Premier John Brumby has gone on re Mildura Jewel Casino "If there was clear community support and if there was clear bipartisan support. I have always said personally that I think it is the sort of thing that would attract jobs and investment to the area. So I think it will be good to have the community debate. We will see how people think about this issue in Mildura."
Aussie Casino King, James Packer, head of Crown Limited is quite on the Mildura proposal, but insiders understand he doesn't see it as a threat, but perhaps more of an opportunity and perhaps as more positive buzz for the Australian and Asia Pacific casino industry. Like Crown, Jewel would be more of a total entertainment, lifestyle and tourism experience... not just slots, roulette and poker. Read up on the interesting history of Mildura re gaming...

Wrap Up...
Welcome back to Australia Jeff, Joe and Warnie. Got to love the 'Gumleaf Mafia'. Australia's PartyPoker front man Tony G didn't compete, but has a few promotional gigs to keep him busy, when he's not fighting off the ladies. Hachem is expected to write quite a bit on Vegas and the WSOP in the upcoming Melbourne Age. Expect the Australian casino and gaming sector to peg onto the upcoming Australian Federal election, just as Kym Illman has with his recent viral campaign. Illman counts Aussie cricketer - poker star Warnie as a mate. Ah, tiny world. Warnie might be ready to continue discussions with Packer now, last spotted together at Crown Casino a few months back. Virgin Casino might have won an 'Online Casino Of The Month' award last month (even though Aussies can't play there), but this month PartyCasino is holding a lead, and Microgaming powered Captain Cooks Casino is giving them a run for their money. Ah, legendary explorer Captain Cook would be proud. Aussie punters are still calling on a Kerry Packer themed slot to be released, and also have Andre The Giant on their wish list. The good news is that more insiders say that Sly Stallone's Rocky Balboa slot will appear at one of two PartyGaming powered casinos before year end. Last time Stallone visited Australia he was stopped at an airport and searched, with some pharmaceutical products being found. Oh, fellow Hollywooder Robert De Niro (star of 'Casino' and 'The Killer Elite') has been doing Melbourne of late. De Niro owns a restaurant or two in Australia is doing some modest media promos. He's also opened up a couple of film opps for Aussie - Greek actor Firass Durani from 'Underbelly'. Durani played club tycoon John Ibrahim in the most recent 'Underbelly' series 'The Golden Mile. MM mate and client John "Vulcan" Seru also featured alongside 'Our Firass' in the Underbelly series. Gawd its a small world aint it.

Google Games Ramps Up, Zynga $US200 Million Deal, Pac-Man Et Al, by Greg Tingle - 15th July 2010
Readers, punters, journalists, internet entrepreneurs, casino and gaming tycoons, and everyone else, major developments in the online gaming world as the battle continues for world domination, with our friends Google in the thick of the action... Media Man and and Gambling911 probe the latest at Google, with game consul, toggle stick and computer mouse side by side as we explore the internet gaming super highway.
Readers will recall Richard Branson re entering the video gaming market last month with his Virgin Gaming. Around the same time Google brought the world arcade classic Pac-Man to the world via its home page, and its still a hit. Got to love the "insert coin" feature.
Years ago Google made headlines with 'Google Follows The Money Trail To Gambling', but was only just scratching the surface of things to come...
http://www.mediamanint.com/articles/google_follows.html
Last month Google's Pac-Man took the world by storm. Check out the Gambling911 story...
'Google Games Pac-Man "Wasted" 4.8 Million Hours'
http://www.gambling911.com/entertainment/google-games-pac-man-wasted-48-million-hours-052610.html
Recently Australia's Foxtel did a deal with Microsoft X-Box, and now internet giant Google is investing bags of cash into social gaming via the web.
Google Invests $US200 Million In Zynga Social Gaming Network...
Google has reportedly invested some $US200 million in social gaming network Zynga, the company behind the the hit Farmville game, in another sign the online gaming sector continues to heat up.
The move follows Google bringing the Pac-Man classic arcade game to its Google browser a couple of months ago, which of course generated international headlines and massive participation by kids of all ages! Around the same time Richard Branson not content with his already impressive empire including Virgin Games inc Virgin Casino, launched Virgin Gaming, in a deal with World Gaming. Players compete in skill based games for cash and prizes. What will they think of next. Google's got its thinking cap on judging by insider reports and leaks.
The Google - Zynga deal comes just days after an Aussie entrepreneur got his iPhone game development studio picked up by Disney (parent of Marvel Entertainment these days). Got to love those Marvel slots. The deal is understood to be for hundreds of millions, but the exact amount would only be known to a handful of people like bean counters and legal eagles.
The move comes as Google is moving into the social gaming scene with the development of its Google Games network. Google also is ramping up things on its social network with the intent to compete with and ideally beat Facebook, who recently has yet another legal situation on its hands about ownership and stake holder type matters. Time to pounce Google and seize the day.
Technology news service TechCrunch is understood to have first broke the Google - Zynga story and reports that "multiple sources" advise Google has invested circa $US100-200 million in Zynga. VC raised is about $US500, and Z got $US180 million Russian "mob" Digital Sky Technologies, plus Tiger Global, Institutional Venture Partners and Andreessen Horowitz.
Leaks and insiders state Zynga’s revenue for 2010 will be $US350 million, with 50% of that being operating profit. Revenue forecast for 2011 is estimated to be a massive $US1 billion.
The deal went though Google, not its Google Ventures, which one may mean the the investment is of massive importance to the company, and not just a "pet project" or "Throwing mud and walls and seeing what sticks", to quote a Media Man insider.
The Google Games network is set for launch late this year, plus the Google branded social network, yet to take on an official name.
Zynga was set up only 3 years ago by ultra entrepreneurs Mark Pincus, Michael Luxton, Eric Schiermeyer, Justin Waldron, Andrew Trader, and Steve Schoettler.
They make the bold claim to be the biggest social gaming network on the internet, and stars are apparently 1.3 million "daily active users".
The company earns revenue mainly through "in-game credits", which are bought through a commerce system using PayPal as the default payment option, but expect Google to get in on the action with a switch over in the near future.
Zynga sports dozens of games but Farmville has become the title with the greatest name value of late. Virtual farms, livestock, you name it. Moo! Bah. Woof!
The deal shows that social gaming and online and mobile apps are now big business and punters are lapping it up. Of course for some, online casinos where one can play for money are all the range, and the PartyCasino VS Virgin Casino war is well and truly alive and well, but Virgin Casino is yet to accept Australian players, so Party is king in that department, battling it out with the likes of PKR and Captain Cooks Casino, with Betfair and Centrebet set to offer more options for Aussies, and social networking is also on their radar.
So readers, the internet continues to offer an increasing amount of play for free or play for money options. Facebook, downloads, in browser games... the choice have never been greater.
Media Man research indicates that most gamers and gamblers are checking out numerous brands and gaming options, and that Google, Facebook, PartyGaming, Virgin and movie themed games are likely to keep dominating for the years to come. Established game titles like Cleopatra, Tomb Raider, Mission: Impossible, Thor, Spider-Man, The Incredible Hulk, Pac-Man and Rambo are set to become available in more options and to remain in the top 10 lists.
Gaming, Politics And Censorship In Australia...
Sen Conroy remarked "Some sections of the community have expressed concern about whether the range of material included in the RC category ... correctly reflects current community standards. As the government's mandatory ISP filtering policy is underpinned by the strength of our classification system, the legal obligation to commence mandatory ISP filtering will not be imposed until the review is completed."
As of time of publication many Aussie ISPs including Telstra Bigpond, Optus, and iPrimus - have pledged to block child-abuse websites voluntarily. The voluntary approach has long been advocated by internet gurus and experts, bringing Australia into step with other countries such as Britain.
Google, which has seemed to have been at war with Senator Conroy over the policy, advised it was "heartened" to see the government had taken into account "the genuine concerns expressed by many" on the RC category.
"While we're yet to see full details, a voluntary proposal by ISPs, limited to child abuse material, is consistent with the approach taken in many of Australia's peer countries worldwide," Google Australia managing director Karim Temsamani said. In addition, "Our primary concern has always been that the scope of the proposed filter is far too broad. It goes way beyond child sexual abuse material and would block access to important online information for all Australians."
Online Poker, Online Casino Games, Poker Babes?...
It's a wait and see situation as to what poker and gaming websites may get blocked. For the record, and some readers will know this already, both Media Man and Gambling911 are website portals, covering a range of sectors from gaming, gambling, poker, entertainment, technology and politics. Websites such as TMZ, The Daily Telegraph and The Sydney Morning Herald also cover gaming, gambling and sports betting, often having pro active advertising campaigns running and sometimes with editorials and Google advertising feeds and "sponsored links". The nature of the web is dynamic, so in theory website content, campaigns, links etc can be changed on almost a second by second basis. That makes for even more complex legal, technical and other aspects. Oh, Media Man has 10,000s of web pages cross dozens of websites and only probably has one set of tits...wrestling babes (and no private parts below), so MM is not an adult company either. Media Man is in fact in the Hitwise top ten (entertainment - personalities category), as has been for the past 7 years. MM also participates in dozens of affiliate programs across about a dozen business sectors, just one being gaming. Readers, get the point of how complex some of the elements are?
Wrap up...
Did you enjoy your internet gaming report? The "war" has just begun. Are you a web freak, a mobile games freak or a consul freak? Are you into slots, arcade games or both? Pac-Man, Space Invaders, Pinball Wizard, Inside The Playboy Mansion, Tomb Raider or Cleopatra? Tell us in the forum. Punters, as always know the odds and keep it legal. Do You Support The Aussie Internet Filter?, by Greg Tingle - 13th July 2010
Readers, censorship and internet censorship continues to threaten your civil liberties. Big Brother and The Thought Police continue to battle for your mind and control. In the spirit of freedom of the press and freedom of speech we bring you yet another filter free report on the Australian censorship debate. Casino billionaires, politicians, media barons, journalists, insiders and everyone else... we know your watching so opt into to the discussion (and please do not opt in to anything illegal). Aussie F1 Ace Mark Webber Sees Red; No Bull, by Greg Tingle - 12th July 2010
Readers er Rev Heads, Mark "The Turkey" Webber continues his winning ways on and off the track, despite what looks to be team politics and favoritism issues. It's red flag to a bull, but Webber "Mr Aussie Grit" continues his winning ways Media Man and Gambling911 lock horns with Red Bull management as the situation revs up...
Australian F1 ace, Mark Webber must be feeling a tad bullish these days. He's locked horns with team mates, media and even flipped the car catching a bit of blue sky.
Recent dramas have waved a red flag to a bull, but for Webber, victory is sweet, and the Webber clan including the old man is waving the red flag back to the provocateurs.
Media Giants BBC and Fairfax Media are throwing around terms like 'Battle of Britain' and screaming 'Civil War' in the Red Bull camp, and maybe they're right?
Bottom line, Webber has won the British Grand Prix. Believe it or not the race concluded with one half of the team's grease monkey types allegedly taunting the other with a body part from the winning car. Red flag to a bull doesn't do it justice Jack.
Silverstone was sizzling with emotion as the Red Bull - drivers love - hate relationship continues, not foreign to say 'War Of The Roses' nor 'The Osbournes'. Webber's team "mate" is getting known as the "Dirty Dick Dastardly' of the camp, a grease money being 'Mutley' and Webber is of course Peter Perfect, in the modern day 'Wacky Races'.
Lewis Hamilton thrilled the crowd understood to exceed 100,000. Extending his lead in the drivers' championship to 12 points over teammate Jenson Button with a solid drive to second, but folks it is McLaren's reigning world champion who will be wrapt, having kept his title hopes alive by zooming from 14th on the grid to 4th, thus claiming 12 points in the process.
Fernando "Don't Call Me Abba" (Media Man tag) Alonso, who for the second race running was hit hard by a stewards' ruling and ended up short of the points. Ferrari's pre-season favourite is well... flat-ish.
Red Bull is turning to media darling and crowd favorite, with on track results, excitement, and off field dramas worthy of 'The Wacky Races'.
Not happy Jan... Webber, by the team's decision to remove a new front wing from his car and put it on that of Sebastian Vettel's for qualifying the previous day! Webber got fire in the belly, seeing his "teammate" off the track at the first bend and went about his winning ways.
"Not bad for a number two driver" sprouted Webber, crossing the finish line at the Milton Keynes-based team.
Christian Horner, team leader, was locking horns with Webber, and more bull dust would soon follow.
Webber had more than hinted at team favouritism after qualifying this past Saturday that the team had "got the result they wanted" re Vettel.
Horner was trying to water down the fiery atmosphere and war of words but Webber remained reved up and let loose at the drivers conference.
"I would never have signed a contract for next year if I believed that was the way going forward. I was disappointed. We will see how it goes in the future, I will keep doing what I am doing and I hope it is enough."
In the pit lane below him where Horner's worst nightmares were unfolding we understand.
Webber's mechanics, glorified grease money's et al were said to have removed the "old" front wing that Webber had been forced to race with and waved it at Vettel's side of the garage.
They, like Webber, were pissed by the apparent favouritism shown by Red Bull's management and were not afraid to show the world their thoughts.
Webber's pop, Alan, advised he was not surprised, and that he had "worried" for Mark due to his mood the night prior.
"He clearly wasn't very happy when he got back after qualifying and I have to tell you I didn't know how he was going to be," Webber Sn said. "I was a bit worried about him. He was pushing the food around his plate at breakfast and looked a bit tensed up. Martin Brundle came on the television and said watch out for some fun at the first corner and Mark looked up and said 'You bet there will be some fun at the first corner', so I knew he was going to be up for it. "He is really determined and I am really proud of what he did here. He didn't let things get inside his head. He just wanted to do his job. He has fantastic support in the team and in the crowd and that is great for him because he has lived in this country for so long."
Webber even got to have a word with Legend Stirling Moss.
"I think what Mark Webber should do is say 'OK, give him (Vettel) the best parts, and I'll go out and beat him anyway'," the 80-year-old told the BBC media.
Horner said: "We have just won the British Grand Prix you know."
A Media Man spokesperson said "Mark Webber has shown the world who is the best. No Turkey, just a champion who flies like an eagle. The Webber brand might be more powerful now than Red Bull. Perhaps Richard Branson's Virgin Racing or another racing team may do well to sign up Webber when the opportunity permits. Webber's eyes are open with fire in the belly. You can taste Webber's passion and it reads Eat My Dust".
Wrap Up...
Mark Webber is a champion through and through. Not a turkey nor a mug. His Aussie grit, work ethic, positive attitude and all round ability sees him rise above and defy the odds. Punters, consult with Paul The Psychic Octopus if you must on Webber's upcoming races, but our spies tell us he's going to be ridding high in the saddle for quite some time, and friends, that's No Bull. The late Johnny Cash would be proud of this bull rider. Watch out for bull horns, crazed matadors, mad Brits, and keep it legal. Vroooom.
