Tonight in Sydney, Australia it's the TV Week Logies Nominations.
Last year Channel Nine did the big push for 'Our Karl', and this year Network Ten is pushing along Carrie Bickmore from 'The Project', and the bet is looking to have paid off.
Carrie, a likeable young lady who shares hosting duties and TV time on The Project with Dave Hughes and Charlie Pickering, is understood to be in the running as the most popular personality on Australian television.
'The Project' may draw less than half a million viewers a night, but it's now still considered a survivor in the traditionally tough timeslot. Bickmore's nomination, her first in the gold category, has taken some media commentators as a bit of a surprise.
Channel 9's Hamish Blake, who hosted Hamish and Andy's Gap Year with Andy Lee last year, is also understood to be one of the six contenders in the big for a gold statue.
Esther Anderson, who recently resigned from Channel 7 soap Home and Away to chase an acting career in the U.S, is also in the race for gold, along with last year's Gold Logie champ, Karl Stefanovic, and the ABC's favourite son Adam Hills.
Asher Keddie, who these days enjoys a substantial following thanks to her starring role in Channel 10's Offspring and as Ita Buttrose in ABC mini-series 'Paper Giants', is also understood have snatched a gold nomination.
Packed To The Rafters cast have missed Gold nominations we understand, but many are up for Silver including Erik Thompson, Rebecca Gibney, Hugh Sheridan and Jessica Marais.
Ray Meagher, Chrissie Swan, and Daniel MacPherson are bound to snatch individual nominations.
The Circle, My Kitchen Rules, Australia's Got Talent, Neighbours, Home and Away and The X Factor are in the race for the all important show awards.

The gala award ceremony will take place at Crown Melbourne on Sunday 15th April.
